The Bids screen allows users to bid on releases or actions.

[edit] View Offers

Click image:retrieve.jpg to retrieve offers.
Select an entry from the list to view details.
Use the search fields at the top to narrow the search results.

[edit] Post Bids

The process of creating and posting a bid consists of four required and one optional steps.

1. Enter General Information (Required)

  • Select a Posted offer you wish to bid on (user must be logged in as the bidding shipper).
  • Click image:New.jpg.
  • Enter bidding quantities and contract information.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.


2. Update Locations (Required)

  • Navigate to the Locations tab.
  • Update location quantities, as necessary.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.


3. Update Rate (Required)

  • Navigate to the Rates tab.
  • Update path rates, as necessary.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.


4. Enter Special Notes (Optional)

  • Navigate to the Rates tab.
  • Click [New] at the top of the matrix.
  • Select comment type and enter the comment.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.


5. Post Bid (Required)
Select Screen Function >> Post Bid.

[edit] Match Bids

To match bids:

  • Log in as a pre-arranged bidder after the offer went into Match period.
  • Select Customer Activities >> Shipper Release >> Bids.
  • Select the offer of interest.
  • Navigate to the Match tab.
  • Enter match quantity.
  • Click [YES] when a warning message pops up.

Main Info

  • Offer Number - Offer identifier.
  • Release Start/End Dt - Release dates.
  • Max Offer Qty - K - Total capacity offered.
  • Min Offer Qty - K - Minimum capacity offered.
  • Bid Deal - Biddable deal indicator.
  • Offer Status - Current status of the offer.
  • Rate Schedule - Type of service that the contract covers.
  • Service - Service name.
  • Bids - Indicates whether the offer has posted bids.
  • Offer Description - Brief description of the offer.
  • Delivery Market Area - Market area included in the pipeline release.
  • Type - Offer type (shipper release or pipeline auction).


  • Rel K - Releasing contract.
  • Expiring K - Expiring contract.
  • Rate Form/Type - Rate form and type code.
  • Rel Acpt Bid Basis - Bidding basis acceptable to the releaser.
  • Bid Evaluation Method - Method used for evaluating bids.
  • Min Acpt Vol Pct - Minimum bidding percent allowed for the offer.
  • Min Acpt Vol Qty - Minimum bidding quantity allowed for the offer.
  • Minimum Term - Minimum accepted term.
  • Allow Contingent Bids - Indicates that bids with special stipulations are accepted.
  • Stand Aln Offer - Stand alone offer indicator (cannot be a part of a packaged deal).
  • Recall Indicator - Recall trigger/indicator.


  • Bid Number - Bid identifier.
  • Prearr Bid - Prearranged bidder identifier.
  • Bid Status - Current bid status.
  • Bidder/Name - Bidding BA full name.
  • Bidder Term St/End Dt - Bidder term start/end dates.
  • Bid Qty-K - Maximum bid quantity.
  • Bid Min Qty-K - Minimum bid quantity.
  • High Bid - Highest bid (score) indicator.
  • Bid Value - Bid score.
  • Orig Bid Qty - K - Original bid quantity.
  • Pending Award Qty - K - Award quantity.


  • Bid Rec Date/Time - Date and time when bid was first created.
  • Post Date/Time - Bid posting timestamp.
  • W/D Post Date Time - Bid withdrawal timestamp.
  • Bidder Contng - Bid contingency indicator.


  • Bidder Contng - Bidder contact name.
  • Bidder Phone - Contact phone number.
  • Bidder E-mail - Contact e-mail.
  • Bidder Secondary E-mail - Secondary contact email.


Locations

  • Location - Location proprietary number.
  • Location - Location DRN number.
  • Location Name - Location full name.
  • Dir Flow - Direction of flow.
  • Bid Qty-Loc - Total bid quantity for selected location.
  • Bid Min Qty-Loc - Minimum bid quantity for selected location.
  • Orig Bid Qty-Loc - Original bid quantity for selected location.

Rates

  • Usage $ - Total usage rate for the path.
  • Max Trf Rate $ - Maximum tariff reservation rate for the path.
  • Min Acpt Rate $ - Minimum accepted bidding rate.
  • Rate Bid $ - Bid rate.
  • Max Rate Ind - Tariff maximum rate indicator.
  • Copy to MR/MD - Trigger that copies rate to master receipt and delivery paths.


Special Notes

  • Related ID - Related offer identifier.
  • Comment Type - Type of comment.
  • Comments - Associated comments.


Match Bid

  • ROFR Match Deadline - ROFR match deadline date.
  • Rank - Bid rank.
  • Awd Qty-K - Award quantity.
  • Reservation Rate - Reservation rate.
  • Present Value - Bid value (score).
  • Net Revenue - Bid net revenue.
  • Price Term - Bid price term.
