The Define Pool Associations screen allows users to associate Appalachian receipt points and pools as well as create initializing nominations to the pools for the selected month.

Specify the month and click to retrieve pool associations.
Use the search fields at the top of the screen to limit search results.
Press to reset the data on the screen.

To create associations:

• Click .
• Fill out the required fields and click .

[edit] Create Initializing Nominations

To create initializing nominations:

• Click the [Create Init Nominations] button. This process can take up to several minutes depending on the number of new associations. Once the process finishes successfully, a confirmation message will be displayed in the System Messages Area.
• The initializing nominations that have already been placed on the screen for the associations will be greyed out and are uneditable.

NOTE: Invalid combinations of Appalachian points and pooling points (e.g., an Appalachian point and an aggregation point in different aggregation areas) will cause the initializing nomination to fail for that association.

• Receipt/Appalachian Location - The receipt point on the initializing nomination. The point must have a usage type of Appalachian Receipt.

• Agg Area - Aggregation Area - Aggregation area in which the point lies.

• Appalachian Location Operator - Name of the operator for the Receipt/Appalachian Location.

• Delivery/Pool/Aggregation Location - The delivery point on the initializing nomination. The point may be an aggregation point on an AS contract or a pooling point on an IPP contract.

• Pool Operator - Pool operator name.

• Initializing Volume - The volume placed on the initializing nomination. This volume must be greater than zero in order for the nomination to be correctly updated based on the monthly estimate. Nominations with zero volume will be assigned a default PDA scheme of ZERO, and will not receive a portion of the monthly estimate. Nominations with a volume greater than zero will be assigned a PDA scheme of PRORATA, and will receive a portion of the monthly estimate based on the initializing volume.

• Initialized - Initialization indicator.
