Use the Define Rights and Prices function to create and update rights and prices and map them to previously created parameters.

[edit] Fields

The following fields appear on the General Tab:

• Product Type – Identifies whether this is a right or a price right.
• Name – A short but descriptive name of the right.
• Description – A more detailed description of what the right does or is used for.
• Category – Identifies the category to which the right belongs.
• Definition Level – The highest level at which the criteria for defining the parameter are found.
• Action Level – The level at which a right is applied.
• Input – The default input template which will be used for the right. The input template specifies which parameters can be defined by the user along with any limitations on the kind of data which can be used.
• Asset Nbr - Asset on which the right is used.
• Service Name - Service that incorporates the right.

The Services Using this Product Component matrix displays the list of services which incorporate the right. Use the [Retrieve] button to view the list.

The following fields appear on the paramter tab: Static Parameters & Tiering Information:

• Parameter Name - Name of the parameter used.
• Description - Description of the parameter.
• Data Type - Type of data input.
• Unit of Measure - The units of measure for the parameter.
• Interval Ind - Parameter interval indicator.
• Domain Name - Name of the associated domain.
• Param Tier Type - Type of tier for the parameter.
• Parent Parameter - Parent of the parameter. Applicable to dependent parameters only.

Variable Parameters:

• Parameter Name - Name of the parameter used.
• Description - Description of the parameter.
• Data Type - Type of data input.
• Unit of Measure - The units of measure for the parameter.
• Tracking Frequency
• Tracking Initial Value
• Tracking Action

[edit] Defining a Right

To define a right, complete the following steps:

• Press at the top of the screen.
• Fill out the required fields. Try to keep the name of the right under 30 characters.
• Template:Submit.

[edit] Adding Parameters to the Right

To add parameters to the right, complete the following steps:

• Select the Parameters tab.
• Click at the top of the desired matrix.
• Select the parameter needed from the pop-up screen.
• Template:Submit.
