The Main tab is used to create or view information about a Service.

General >> Main Tab
The following fields appear on the General >> Main tab:
- Service Name – Name of the Service.
- Status – Service availability indicator. The drop-down list contains the following parameters:
- Active – Service is available for constructing new contracts
- Pending – Service is not yet available for constructing new contracts
- Effective Begin Date – Date on which the association becomes effective.
- Effective End Date – Date through which the association is effective.
- Rate Schedule Code – The rate schedule used for charging for this Service.
- Credit Calculation Method – Specifies the method used to calculate credit requirements.
- Is this a Base Service for a Rate Schedule? – Indicates whether the current service will be used as a base for building other services in the future.
- Fixed Credit Amount – A fixed amount of credit required when the Fixed Amount credit calculation methodology is specified.

Complete the following steps to define a service:
- Click
at the top of the screen.
- Fill out the required field.
- Template:Submit.

Process used to edit a service is similar to that of adding one.
[edit] Deleting a Service
You may not delete a service saved to the database. However, you may deactivate it either by setting an effective end date or by changing the status to Pending. Template:TabsDefS
