The Meter screen allows users to view information about meters that are associated with locations for nomination purposes. Meters provide the actual volumes of flown gas that are used for customer allocations. Meter data is provided by the MIPS system and is view-only.

View Data

Click image:retrieve.jpg to retrieve the list of meters.
Select a record to view details. Navigate to a respective tab to see specific information.

General

Displays general data and meter history.

Associated Location

Displays Meter-Location associations.

Comments

Displays any related comments.

Add New Meter

To add a new meter:

  • Click Navigates™.
  • Fill out required information.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.
  • To add meter history, click [New] at the top of the Meter History matrix.
  • Fill out the required fields and click image:Submit.jpg.


Add Comments

To add a comment:

  • Navigate to the Comment tab.
  • Click [New].
  • Enter the comment and details.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg




FIELDS

  • Meter Station - A unique ID number and descriptive name for the meter station assigned by the measurement office.
  • Dir of Flow - Direction of flow.
  • State/County/Sec/Town/Range - Physical location of the meter.
  • Balancing Section - The section of pipeline the meter resides on.
  • Mileage - Number of miles from a predetermined place.
  • Lateral Mileage - The number of miles that are on a pipeline lateral. A lateral is a small pipe located off the main line.
  • Downstream Compressor - Name of the first compressor the gas flows through.
  • EGM - Electronic Gas Measurement - Indicates that the measurement is done electronically, without the use of charts.
  • Engineering Line Nbr - The line number assigned by engineering that determines whether the meter is Gathering or Transmission.
  • Custody Xfer Indicator - An external operator reference number used by an outside company as their meter station ID.
  • Custody Xfer Reference - An external operator reference number used by an outside company as their meter station ID.
  • Heating Value - BTU.
  • Peak Qty - The highest quantity that has passed through the meter.


  • Eff Begin/End Date - Effective date range.
  • Meter Status - Current meter status.
  • Meter Type - Meter usage on the pipeline.
  • Measurement Frequency - Frequency with which the measurements are taken on the meter.
  • Max Capacity Qty - Maximum capacity of the meter.
  • Oper Capacity Qty - Actual capacity at which the meter operates.
  • Updater - ID of the user or process that performed the last update.
  • Update Timestamp - Last update timestamp.


  • Comment - Text.
  • Visibility - Comment visibility to internal/external users.
  • Comment By - ID of the user who entered the comment.
  • Comment Date - Timestamp.
