[edit] Allocation Schemes
The following schemes can be used for predetermined allocations:
Zero - The designated nomination will not receive any volumes.
Logical - The designated nomination will be allocated a volume equal to what is scheduled.
Rank - The designated nomination will receive as much volume as available and up to its scheduled volume after all other nominations with lower rank numbers have been satisfied. Once lower ranks have been filled, any remaining volumes are placed on the higher ranked nominations.
Percentage - The designated nomination will receive the specified percentage of the total volume at the point.
Pro-rata - The designated nomination will receive a volume equal to its proportion of the total scheduled volumes at the point. Pro-Rata is technically a subset of the Percentage screen, where the percentage is determined by each nominations proportion of the total scheduled volume at the point.
Swing - The designated nomination will receive whatever is left over once every other nomination is allocated an amount equal to what is scheduled.
OBA - The designated nomination will receive whatever is left over once every other nomination is allocated an amount equal to what is scheduled. This scheme can only be applied to OBA contracts, which are held by interconnecting pipelines. OBA's are set up on receipt nominations, but the nomination can receive volumes from both directions of flow. If the net imbalance on the point is a delivery, then the volume allocated to the OBA nom will be negative (a negative receipt is a delivery).
[edit] Scheme Combinations
Acceptable/required scheme combinations are defined below:
| Schemes | Description | |
| Logical | XXX | Logical can be combined with any other scheme. |
| OBA | Logical | If OBA is assigned to one nomination, the other schemes must be logical. |
| Pro-Rata | Pro-Rata | All nominations are Pro-Rata. |
| Pro-Rata | Swing | Acceptable for the Low scheme only. The Swing nomination will take the volume left over after the Pro-rata nominations are satisfied, but only until the Swing nomination is allocated zero, at which point the pro-rata nominations will start to be allocated pro-rata. If the total volume allocated to the point is negative, the Swing nomination will get the negative allocation. |
| Percentage | Percentage | Each nomination receives the designated percentage. |
| Rank | Rank | Each nomination receives volumes in accordance with its rank. |
| Swing | Logical | The Swing nomination takes whatever is left over after the Logical nominations have all been allocated. |
| Zero | XXX | Zero can be combined with any other scheme. |
[edit] Default Allocation Schemes

| Prorata | Prorata |
| Rank | Rank |
| Percent | Percent |
| OBA | Logical |
| Swing | Logical |
| Logical/Prorata | Logical |
| Logical/Rank | Logical |
| Logical/Percent | Logical |
