The Section screen allows users to create or update information about pipeline sections. A section is a physical part of pipe that resides in a certain market area.

[edit] View Sections

Click image:retrieve.jpg to retrieve scheduling charges on the screen.
Use the search fields at the top to narrow the search results.
Select an entry from the list and navigate to a tab to view details.
Click Image:Clear.jpg to reset the data on the screen.

[edit] Add Sections

To add a section:

  • Click image:New.jpg.
  • Fill out required fields.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.


[edit] Enter Capacity

To enter section capacity:

  • Navigate to the Capacity tab.
  • Click [New] at the top of the matrix.
  • Fill out required fields.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.
  • To delete capacity, select the row you wish to remove and click [Delete].


[edit] Enter Comments

To enter comments:

  • Navigate to the Comments tab.
  • Click [New] at the top of the matrix.
  • Fill out required fields.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.

To add a restriction:

  • Navigate to the Restrictions tab.
  • Click image:New.jpg.
  • Fill out the required fields.
  • Click image:Submit.jpg.




[edit] FIELDS

[edit] General

Displays general information.

  • Segment Cd - Segment identifier.
  • Segment Name - Full name of the segment.
  • Segment Type - Type of physical section.
  • Report Capacity - Report toggle.
  • Parent Segment - Name of the parent segment.
  • Zone - Zone in which the segment is located.
  • Eff From Date - Date when the segment became active.


[edit] Capacity

Displays section capacity.

  • Eff Begin/End Date - Effective date range.
  • Max Capacity - Maximum designed capacity of the segment measured in MMBTU.
  • Backhaul Capacity - Maximum designed capacity of the segment for the gas that goes against the normal direction of flow measured in MMBTU.
  • % Load Factor - Average load of the entire systems divided by the maximum load.
  • Operating Capacity - Capacity at which the segment operates on average.
  • Operating Backhaul Capacity - Capacity at which the backhaul flow passes through the segment on average.
  • Operating Gross Cap - Maximum possible operating capacity.
  • Operating Backhaul Gross Cap - Maximum possible backhaul operating capacity.
  • Operating Condition - Indicates the operating condition of the segment.

Displays associated locations.

  • Location - Location proprietary number.
  • Location Name - Location full name.
  • Location Status - Location activity status.
  • Location Type - Location classification.
  • Dir of Flow - Direction of flow.
  • State/County - Physical aspects of the segment.
  • Operator Name - Point operator name.


[edit] Comments

Displays comments.

  • Comment - Text.
  • Visibility - Comment visibility to internal/external users.
  • Comment By - ID of the user who entered the comment.
  • Comment - Text.


[edit] Restrictions

Displays section restrictions.

  • Segment Code - Segment identifier.
  • Segment Level - Segment level (1 - 4).
  • Restriction Code - Type of restriction that is being placed on the point.
  • Nom Dir of Flow - Direction of flow of the nomination to which the restriction applies.
  • Description - Brief description of the restriction.
