The Hotspots screen allows users to view imbalance information for pools, points and segments.

[edit] View Hotspots

Using a respective tab, users have an option of viewing pool, point and segment imbalances.

[edit] Pools Out-of-Balance

Imbalances are displayed for pooling points that are out of balance during the prescheduling stage.

[edit] Segment Capacity Overrun

Displays segment capacity overruns.

[edit] Point Capacity Oveerun

Displays point capacity overruns.

To view imbalances:

  • Navigate to the appropriate tab.
  • Enter flow date. Update point type, if necessary.
  • Click image:retrieve.jpg.
  • Select an entry from the Overview matrix to view details.
  • Select an entry from the Details matrix to view hourly information, if available.




[edit] FIELDS

  • Point Cd - Location proprietary number.
  • Segment Cd - Segment identifier.
  • Dir of Flow - Direction of flow.
  • Name - Location/segment full name.
  • Operator Name - Point operator name.
  • Analyst - Pipeline analyst in charge of scheduling.


  • Rec Qty - Receipt quantity.
  • Del Qty - Delivery quantity.
  • Net Quantity - Net quantity (Receipt Quantity minus Delivery Quantity).
  • Fwd Capacity - Forward-Haul Capacity - Capacity in the same direction of the aggregate physical flow of gas in the pipeline (downstream of receipt point).
  • Bkwd Capacity - Back-Haul Capacity - Capacity in the direction opposite the aggregate physical flow of gas in the pipeline (upstream of receipt point).
  • Nom Qty - Nominated quantity.
  • Sch Qty - Scheduled quantity.
  • Gross Capacity - Total capacity.
  • Net Capacity - Available operational capacity.
  • Over Net - Total segment overrun.
  • Bypass Qty - Total bypass quantity.
  • Available Qty - Available quantity.
  • Net Dir of Flow - Net direction of flow.


  • Dir - Direction - Injection or withdrawal.
  • Svc Req K - Service Requester Contract - Contract on which the nomination is placed.
  • Rate Schedule - Type of service that the contract covers.
  • Svc Req Name - Name of the customer associated with the contract.
  • Cycle - Nomination cycle.
  • Nom Stat - Nomination status.
  • Rec/Del Loc - Location proprietary number.
  • Rank - Priority of quantity reduction on point.
  • Above/Below/Between CQ Score - Nomination quantity score in relation to MDCQ.
  • Path Qty - Available path quantity.
  • Discount Rate - Price discount.
  • Rate/(%Max) - Price discount as percentage of max rate.
  • Contract Req Date - Date contract was requested.
  • RR - Reduction Reason - Reason why quantity was reduced.
  • Reduction Comments - Any comments accompanying reduction code.


  • Beg/End Time - Time range.
  • Net Avl Capacity - Net available capacity.
  • Total Noms - Total nominated quantity.
  • Hourly Noms - Total hourly nominations.
  • Daily Noms - Total daily nominations.
  • Remaining Capacity - Total remaining capacity.
