Contracts

The Contracts Area in Navigates™ is used to create and maintain contracts and contract amendments for a customer. The Contracts vertical contains the following menu items:
- Contract - Allows users to create and execute contracts.
- Contract Request - Allows users to request contracts.
- Amendment - Allows users to amend executed contracts.
- Amendment Request - Allows users to request contract amendments.
- Contract/Amendment Summary - Allows users to view contract and amendment summary.
- Lock Contract - Allows users to lock contracts, preventing its usage for nominations.
- Transactions - Allows users to create transactions.
- Segmentation - Allows users to segment contracts.
TERMS
Contract - A legal, binding agreement that contains details on how a gas transaction is handled between the customer and the pipeline. An executed contract is required before the pipeline can transport gas for a customer.
Transaction - A short-term agreement between a pipeline and a customer.
